Legacy identity governance and administration (IGA) is aging out. SAP IdM reaches end of maintenance in 2027, while on-premises SailPoint and One Identity carry rising costs and risks, and these migrations typically run 12 to 18 months. With iC Consult’s Lisa Zimmermann, this session explains how to assess your identities, workflows, roles, and governance dependencies; design a target on Microsoft Entra ID Governance; and run an AI-supported migration with no hand-offs between subcontractors. On-premises Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) cannot deliver the modern authentication and cloud-native controls that Zero Trust demands, and every application left on it adds risk and cost. This session lays out a clear path off AD FS: analyze every application configuration, prepare Microsoft Entra ID with the right synchronization, rebuild applications as SAML or OpenID Connect registrations, and validate access across internal, VPN, and external paths. You will learn how to decommission AD FS at scale and bring every app under conditional access, multi-factor authentication, and passwordless sign-in.

Microsoft has begun retiring Azure AD B2C, and every month of waiting shrinks your options and raises the cost of an eventual forced migration.
