A leading bank approached iC Consult with an urgent project: several audit findings in their CyberArk-based Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution, some of them highly critical, needed to be resolved within a tight timeframe. The main goal of the project was to close these audit findings and ensure timely implementation with dedicated manpower. In addition, a PAM optimization was to be undertaken, focusing on fixing misconfigurations, significantly increasing the security and performance of the PAM solution, and improving automation levels and application onboarding. Along with this came the bank’s initiative to migrate its CyberArk solution to the cloud for global reach.

iC Consult worked closely with the bank to fundamentally improve the design and implementation of the PAM environment. Our team designed solution approaches to close security gaps, assisted with technical and process implementation, and implemented vendor recommendations and best practices. We developed dispatchers and plugins and ensured the credential provider was set up effectively. We also created interfaces to connect application owners to the respective PAM tool – addressing another audit finding.

The successful implementation of the project resulted in a follow-up audit with no findings.
